Aims and Scope

The Journal of Weather Changes (JWC) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to understanding the effects of weather changes on the environment and society. JWC seeks to contribute to the furthering of knowledge related to the Earth’s changing climate, short-term and long-term forecasting of weather conditions, and the study of the impact of climate change on a variety of social and economic factors.

The primary mission of the Journal of Weather Changes is to provide an international, multi-disciplinary platform for the scholarly dissemination and exchange of research that bridges the gap between the disciplines of meteorology, climatology, earth science, and the social sciences. We promote an interdisciplinary approach to studying weather and climate change, and encourage submissions from researchers from a variety of industries including atmospheric science, energy and energy transmission, agriculture and agronomy, public health, transportation, law, engineering, and economic development.

The journal is an ideal forum for researchers, policy makers, industry experts, and engaged citizens to share their latest research on how the Earth’s climate is changing and how various stakeholders can best prepare for, adapt to, and benefit from these changes. We seek to foster global dialogue that can lead to innovative and impactful solutions in our rapidly-changing world.

The Journal of Weather Changes focuses on the following topics:

Impacts of long-term climate change on weather events and their variability
The connections between climate change, weather events, and social vulnerability 
Forecasting techniques for short-term and long-term weather conditions
Assessing the risks of extreme weather events including hurricanes, droughts, floods, and extreme heat
Response strategies for extreme weather events, their impacts, and their aftermaths
Mitigation strategies for climate change and the reduction of emissions
Interdisciplinary research that examines the relationship between climate change, weather, and economics, public policy, and social justice
Developing resilient infrastructure that can withstand extreme weather conditions
Educating the public on climate change, weather, and their impacts

We invite researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to submit their work to the Journal of Weather Changes for publication. By doing so, you will be contributing to a global effort to comprehend and anticipate the changing pattern of our climate, and to develop adapting and preventive strategies that protect the global population from the consequences of extreme weather events.

The journal encourages the submission of Original Research, Review, Literature review, Conference proceedings, Case reports, Short communication, Thesis, Letter to editor and Editorials, which address the following, not restricted to the keywords specified.
