Aims and Scope

 

The International Journal of Complementary Medicine (IJCO) aims to provide a platform for the publication of high-quality research and review articles on the use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of various diseases and health conditions. The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and case reports on the safety, efficacy, and mechanism of action of CAM modalities, such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy, chiropractic, and traditional Chinese medicine, among others. The journal also aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas among researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public, and to promote the integration of CAM into mainstream healthcare systems. The journal's scope encompasses various fields of medicine, including but not limited to, oncology, neurology, cardiology, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

 

The journal covers a broad scope of topics including, but not exclusive to, basic and clinical research, public health and policy, traditional medicine, health education, integrative health, and ethical, legal, and regulatory issues. As such, IJCO provides a valuable resource for any practitioner, researcher or student of complementary and traditional medicines.

 

The scope of the IJCO includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
