Zebra Finch

The zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata) is a small, hardy bird native to Australia, the eastern Islands, and parts of Indonesia. It is a popular pet and has been the subject of much study by scientists due to its easily observable behavior. Zebra finches are social birds that form pair bonds, nest in colonies, and communicate vocally with each other. As a result, they are useful as a model organism to study social behavior and communication in relation to other species. These finches are also valued as aviary birds, popular both among professional breeders and hobbyists. Their bright colors and cheerful temperaments make them an ideal addition to many homes.
