Starlings
Starlings are one of the most widespread and familiar bird species in the world. They have glossy black, white, and iridescent feathers and often gather in large flocks. Starlings are omnivorous and feed on insects, small mammals, grains, and fruits, and can be seen around gardens, parks, and fields. They are important for maintaining the balance of insect populations and contribute to increasing the diversity of an agricultural habitat. Starlings are also important for agricultural economies, as they consume large numbers of crop-damaging insects. Furthermore, their presence adds aesthetic beauty to the environment. As such, starlings play a valuable role in the ecosystem, and their presence should be encouraged in the agricultural landscape.
