Reptiles

Reptiles are one of the most ancient and diverse groups of animals on the planet. They cover a wide range of species, such as turtles, snakes, lizards and crocodilians. Reptiles play an important role in their ecosystems as predators, prey, and by dispersing energy and nutrients through the food web. They are also often essential to local tourism, recreation, and habitat conservation efforts. Reptiles are subject to increasing threats from habitat loss and human activities, making conservation of these species and their habitats a priority for many organizations.
