Fowl

pox Fowlpox is a highly contagious viral disease which affects poultry, such as chickens, turkeys, and ducks. It is mainly present in tropical and subtropical regions, but can occur anywhere. The symptoms of fowlpox include skin lesions on the head, legs, feet, and beak. The lesions can lead to difficulty in moving, poor growth, and a decreased egg-laying rate. Vaccines are available to prevent and control the spread of fowlpox, making it essential for poultry producers to vaccinate their birds. Vaccines are effective in reducing the prevalence of this disease and protecting poultry against its debilitating effects.
