Accelerometer

An accelerometer is a device used to measure acceleration, also known as a linear acceleration. It is commonly used to measure the acceleration of a vehicle, such as a car, bike, or airplane. This measurement is critical for the control systems of these vehicles, such as those used in anti-lock brakes and stability control systems. It is also used to measure the vibration of a machine, to detect shock, and to measure footstep activity in fitness tracking devices.
