Starfish

Starfish are invertebrate marine animals belonging to the class Asteroidea. They are known for their star-shaped bodies and multiple arms, ranging from five to forty. Starfish are found in all the world's oceans, from shallow to deep waters. They play an important role in the marine ecosystem by consuming other organisms, such as algae, and creating a balance in the food chain. They are also popularly kept as pets in aquariums. Starfish can regenerate lost body parts, making them an important model in medical research.
