Porpoises
Porpoises are highly intelligent aquatic mammals, closely related to dolphins, with a distinctively curved snout and spade-shaped teeth. They inhabit all of the world's oceans and some rivers, with most species living in tropical, temperate, and Arctic waters. Porpoises are key species in marine ecosystems and have an important role to play in the health of the oceans. They have been used in studies to understand better the effects of human activities on the environment, and they are also popular tourist attractions in some areas, drawing people to coastal locations. Porpoise hunting and fishing activities still occur in some locations, but conservation efforts have been important in preserving them, allowing their populations to remain viable.
