Mussels
Mussels are a type of saltwater mollusk with a hard, thin outer shell. They are an important food source worldwide and also play a vital role in the marine ecosystems as filter feeders, providing a natural filtering and cleaning action for the water in which they live. Mussels are also a source of bioactive compounds and are being investigated for their potential medicinal benefits. Additionally, mussels provide an important source of revenue in many countries from aquaculture and fisheries.
