Marine Mammals

Marine mammals are aquatic animals that live in the ocean, such as whales, dolphins, seals, sea lions, and walruses. These animals are important to the health of the ocean, since they act as apex predators and play a vital role in the ecology of their habitat. They also offer invaluable insight into the effects of climate change and are an important source of revenue through tourism. Marine mammals also have cultural and spiritual significance to many indigenous communities.
