Marine and Aquatic Sciences Fisheries

Marine and Aquatic Sciences Fisheries is the study of fish, other aquatic organisms, and their environment. It involves investigating and understanding the dynamics of aquatic ecosystems, researching and understanding the biology, ecology and behavior of fisheries species, and the management of the resources. The research is important for sustaining and improving our ability to use aquatic resources responsibly, conserving aquatic habitats and species, and developing sustainable fishing practices. Fisheries research is also important for understanding the impacts of climate change, pollution and other human activities on the aquatic environment. It is used to develop management strategies for the sustainable use of aquatic resources, and to identify and protect areas of ecological importance.
