Fish Metamorphosis
Fish metamorphosis is the process in which juvenile fish undergo physical and behavioral changes that enable them to transition into adults. It is a complex process involving changes in morphology, anatomy, physiology, and behavior. Metamorphosis allows fish to adapt to their changing environment and maximize their chances of survival. During this process, juvenile fish develop features such as a swim bladder, secondary dorsal fin, and adult coloration, which enable them to survive in adult aquatic habitats and to reproduce. Metamorphosis is an essential process for the life cycle of many fish species, and understanding it can help us to better preserve and protect them.
