Caulobacter Crescentus
Caulobacter Crescentus is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium that has significance to the fields of developmental biology and gene regulation. It is widely used in bacterial genetics and synthetic biology due to the availability of efficient genetic tools and its ability to rapidly switch from a metabolically quiescent to an actively dividing state. It is also used for bioremediation, due to its ability to degrade a variety of pollutants. Caulobacter Crescentus could be an important resource for developing new biotechnological strategies and applications.
