Ammonites

Ammonites are fossilized sea creatures that lived in the oceans of the world during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods (200-65 million years ago). Their fossilized shells are important for scientists to study the Earth's climate and environment in the distant past. Today, ammonites are valuable to paleontologists, geologists, and fossil collectors due to their unique shape and wide variety of species. The shells of ammonites can also be sliced and polished to create unique jewellery and other items.
