Vasculitis Relapse

Vasculitis is a group of disorders in which the blood vessels become inflamed. It can cause damage to organs or other body systems and can result in death if not treated. Relapses of vasculitis occur when the initial symptoms return after a period of remission. They can be more severe than the original episode and may require a different treatment. Early recognition of a relapse is critical for successful treatment and the prevention of organ damage. Early recognition and management of relapses can improve the overall outcome for patients and reduce long-term complications.
