Vasculitis Biopsy

A vasculitis biopsy is an important medical procedure wherein a sample of tissue is taken from an affected blood vessel for examination and testing. It is used to identify and diagnose various types of vasculitis, an inflammation of the blood vessels caused by disorders of the immune system. This biopsy helps determine the type and severity of vasculitis and helps guide long-term treatment plans, providing essential information to the healthcare provider.
