Vascular Dementia
Vascular Dementia is a form of Dementia caused by reduced blood flow to the brain, which affects its ability to process information and can lead to cognitive decline. It is the second most common form of Dementia and is characterised by difficulty with problem solving, memory, communication, and other areas of intellectual activity. It can also cause changes in behaviour and mood, such as apathy, decreased initiative and impaired judgement. Treatment of Vascular Dementia can involve medications, lifestyle changes, and therapeutic interventions. Early diagnosis and management can help to slow the progression of the condition.
