Immunosuppressive Therapy
Immunosuppressive therapy is a medical treatment used to suppress the body's immune system. The goal of this therapy is to lower the activity of the immune system, allowing the body to accept a transplanted organ, or to treat an autoimmune disorder. Immunosuppressive therapy can become an integral part of a patient’s treatment plan, improving their quality of life by controlling the symptoms of their illness. Additionally, immunosuppressant drugs can be given in combination with chemotherapy to make sure that the body does not reject transplanted organs. This therapy is extremely important for providing life-changing treatments to those who need it.
