Environmental Changes
Environmental changes refer to any persistent alteration in physical or biological components of the environment due to natural or human-induced activities. Such changes can be both short-term or long-term, and can affect air and water quality, land use, vegetation, and the abundance and diversity of living organisms. Environmental changes are increasingly relevant in the context of global climate change and the challenge of sustainable development. Humans are heavily dependent on a healthy environment and the impacts of environmental changes can be far-reaching, impacting public health, biodiversity, agriculture, and economic development. It is therefore essential to understand the drivers and impacts of environmental changes, and to develop effective strategies to respond and to mitigate future changes.
