Crescentic Glomerulonephritis
Crescentic glomerulonephritis is a type of kidney disease in which immune cells damage the glomeruli, which are tiny filters in the kidneys responsible for filtering waste and extra water from the bloodstream. The inflammation of the glomeruli can cause scarring and can eventually lead to kidney failure. Symptoms of crescentic glomerulonephritis include blood in the urine, high blood pressure, swelling, and fatigue. Treatment typically involves using medications that suppress the immune system and slow the progression of the disease. Early diagnosis and treatment is important to prevent organ damage and long-term kidney failure.
