Circulatory Diseases
Circulatory diseases refer to disorders that affect the circulatory system, which includes the heart and the blood vessels. These diseases are among the leading causes of death in the world, such as heart attacks, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. Potential risk factors for circulatory diseases include hypertension, diabetes, smoking, obesity and physical inactivity, among others. Treatment and prevention of circulatory diseases involve lifestyle changes, such as eating healthy foods, exercising regularly and quitting smoking, as well as medical treatments such as surgery or drugs to reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack. By making smart choices to reduce the risk of circulatory diseases, individuals can enjoy longer, healthier lives.
