Cardiovascular Disorders Pulmonary Vascular Diseases
Cardiovascular and pulmonary vascular diseases are progressive conditions that can have a major impact on a person's overall health. These diseases involve the heart, arteries, and/or veins. Cardiovascular diseases affect the heart and blood vessels, while pulmonary vascular diseases affect the vessels that bring blood from the heart to the lungs. The most common types of cardiovascular and pulmonary vascular diseases include coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, stroke, peripheral artery disease, pulmonary hypertension, and deep vein thrombosis. Treatment for these diseases includes lifestyle changes, medication, and in some cases surgery. Proper care for these diseases is essential in order to prevent further damage and maintain good health.
