Thorax

The thorax is the part of the human body that lies between the neck and abdomen. It houses the heart, lungs, and other organs that are vital for life. It is a key element in the body's respiratory system, allowing for the intake of air and the expulsion of carbon dioxide. The thorax also provides protection for the heart and lungs, acting as a shield and ensures vital organs are protected from injury. Additionally, the thorax provides great stability, anchoring the upper body to the lower and aiding in posture and balance. Thoracic exercise helps to strengthen the thorax and the large muscles of the chest, lower back and abdomen, which can help prevent injuries and improve overall health.
