Thoracoabdominal

aortic aneurysm Thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (TAAA) is a condition in which an area of the aorta, the main artery of the body, expands and weakens resulting in a bulge or ballooning of the aorta's walls. TAAAs can be life-threatening if left untreated, as they can cause major complications such as ruptures or organ damage. Early diagnosis and intervention is essential to prevent catastrophic outcomes, and regular screening and genetic testing are essential for those at risk of developing TAAA. Treatment options for TAAA include open surgery, endovascular surgery or medical management. Successful management of TAAA can help to improve the quality of life of patients and prevent further complications.
