Thoracic Outlet
Syndrome Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) is a medical condition caused by compression of the nerves, arteries, and/or veins in the thoracic outlet, the small space between the collarbone and the first rib. Symptoms may include pain in the neck, shoulders, and arm, as well as numbness and tingling in the affected limb. TOS is commonly treated with physical therapy, medications and, in rare cases, surgery. With early detection and proper treatment, the symptoms of TOS can be managed and the patient can return to an active lifestyle.
