Thoracic Epidural

Thoracic epidural is a procedure in which a catheter is inserted between the bones of the spine into the epidural space of the thoracic vertebrae. The catheter is used to inject drugs and/or anesthetic agents directly into the space. This procedure is most commonly used for pain relief for patients with chronic pain or who have had surgery in the thoracic area. In addition, it can be used for the management of post-operative pain, and to provide anesthesia for surgical procedures. It is an effective and safe method of pain control and is an important tool in the management of thoracic pain.
