Thoracic Disease
Thoracic disease is a broad category of medical conditions that impact the organs and structures of the chest, including the lungs, heart, esophagus, and chest wall. Conditions of the thoracic cavity can include respiratory illnesses, infections, or cancers. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential because many thoracic diseases are progressive and can worsen quickly. Therapies may include medications, lifestyle changes, surgery, or radiation. Treatment of thoracic diseases can improve quality of life and, in some cases, save lives.
