Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm

Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm (TAA) is an abnormal enlargement in the wall of the aorta, which is the main artery in the body. This can potentially lead to life-threatening complications, as the weakened arterial wall may rupture and cause internal bleeding. Early diagnosis and timely treatment of TAA are important for individuals to reduce the risk of serious health consequences. Non-invasive imaging modalities, such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), can accurately diagnose TAA, and surgical or endovascular interventions are used to repair the aneurysm, providing an improved prognosis.
