Respiratory Infections
Respiratory infections are a group of illnesses caused by viruses or bacteria that invade the respiratory tract. They are often characterized by symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, sore throat, and difficulty breathing. Common respiratory infections include the common cold, influenza, and pneumonia. Treatment of respiratory infections typically depends on the cause and severity of the infection, but may include medications such as antibiotics, or lifestyle changes such as rest and fluids. Early diagnosis and treatment of respiratory infections is essential to limiting the spread of these illnesses and to prevent further complications.
