Prostatitis
? Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate gland, a small walnut-sized organ located underneath the bladder in men that produces seminal fluid. Prostatitis is a common condition, particularly in men over the age of 50, and can cause pain, discomfort, and urinary and sexual dysfunction. Treatment for prostatitis typically involves antibiotic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medications, as well as lifestyle and dietary modifications. Prostatitis can lead to more serious health issues, including chronic infections and even infertility, so early detection and effective treatment are essential for maintaining good health.
