Keratectomy
Keratectomy is a surgical procedure in which a portion of patient’s cornea (outermost layer of the eye) is removed to correct vision distortion. This technique is used to treat several eye conditions such as astigmatism, myopia, and cataract and can also be used to increase the size of the pupil. The procedure is highly precise and involves specialized equipment to ensure the best results. Keratectomy can improve a patient’s vision and quality of life, as well as reduce the need for glasses or contacts.
