Carotid Endarterectomy

Carotid endarterectomy is a surgical procedure used to remove plaque buildup in the carotid artery. The carotid artery is a major artery in the neck that supplies blood to the brain. When plaque accumulates in this artery, it can block the blood flow and increase the risk for stroke. Carotid endarterectomy removes the blockage and helps reduce the risk of stroke and other serious complications. It may also be used to treat Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Takayasu's Arteritis. This procedure is a safe and effective way to restore proper blood flow to the brain, reduce stroke risk, and improve overall quality of life.
