Bio-engineering
Bio-engineering is the application of engineering principles and techniques to the life sciences. It is an interdisciplinary field that combines the principles of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering to design, build, and maintain living systems, from small molecules to large cells, from organs to whole organisms. Bio-engineering has a wide range of applications, including treatments of diseases, improvement of food production, environmental protection, and development of new materials. With the use of bio-engineering, science and technology can be used together to improve the quality of life and solve some of the world's most pressing problems.
