Hormonal Therapy
Hormonal therapy (HT) is a type of cancer treatment which works by altering the hormone levels in the body, reducing the production of certain hormones or blocking their effects. These hormones are often involved in the growth and spread of certain types of cancer, including breast and prostate cancers. HT is usually used in combination with other treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation, and can be a powerful tool to treat cancer and prolong survival in certain cancer types. This can lead to significant improvements in quality of life and cancer outcomes for many patients.
