Sexual Pain Disorders
Sexual pain disorders (also known as dyspareunia) are conditions that cause pain during or after sexual activity. This pain can be the result of physical factors, such as vaginal dryness or tightness, or psychological factors, such as stress or depression. These conditions can be distressing and significantly impair a person's quality of life. Treatment of sexual pain disorders may involve medications, lifestyle modifications, counseling, or physical therapy. When treated, these disorders can improve sexual enjoyment and restore intimate relationships.
