Sexual Diseases in Animals
Sexual diseases in animals are diseases acquired through sexual contact between two animals. These diseases can be spread through direct physical contact or indirectly through contaminated items such as bedding, feeds, and utensils or even via body fluids, such as semen and saliva. These diseases can range from being mild to life-threatening and can affect any species of animal. Common sexually-transmitted diseases in animals include brucellosis, leptospirosis, trichomoniasis, and venereal cancer. Early intervention is important to prevent the spread of these diseases and maintain animal health. Vaccines are also available for some conditions and can provide effective control. Knowing the signs and symptoms of sexually-transmitted diseases and taking prompt action to address any infections is essential for animal health and welfare.
