Hypersexuality

Hypersexuality is a psychological condition whereby an individual experiences an increased, persistent, and intense desire for sexual activity. It can interfere with relationships and impair social functioning, leading to significant distress and impairment of daily life. It can be a symptom of an underlying mental disorder, such as bipolar disorder, or a side effect of certain medications. Treatment of hypersexuality typically involves cognitive behavior therapy and pharmacological interventions, such as medication.
