Herpes

zoster Herpes zoster, also known as shingles, is a viral infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus, which is the same virus responsible for chickenpox. It is characterized by a painful rash with clusters of blisters on the skin and may cause fever, headache, and other flu-like symptoms. It is more common in adults over the age of 50 and people with weakened immune systems, but can occur at any age. Treatment can include medications such as antivirals and corticosteroids, as well as creams and lotions to reduce symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment can reduce the duration and intensity of the condition, so it is important to seek medical attention if you think you might have herpes zoster.
