Cholecystitis and Biliary Colic

Cholecystitis and Biliary Colic are two conditions that affect the gallbladder. Cholecystitis is an inflammation of the gallbladder caused by a blockage of the cystic duct, while Biliary Colic is a condition of severe abdominal pain due to a blockage in the cystic duct or common duct, usually caused by gallstones. Both of these conditions can cause extreme discomfort and may require medical treatment. The diagnosis and treatment of these conditions can involve the use of imaging scans, medications, or surgery. Cholecystitis and Biliary Colic are both serious conditions, and early diagnosis and treatment are essential in order to prevent further complications, including gallbladder rupture.
