Theory of Mind
Theory of Mind is a term used in psychology, referring to a person's ability to understand the mental states, beliefs, and intentions of other individuals. This theory forms a crucial part of development in children, allowing them to understand how others think and feel and to empathize with them. It is often seen as a major difference between humans and other species, and as such is an important factor in social interaction, understanding social cues and rules, and being able to recognize deception. Theory of Mind has also been linked with some mental illnesses and disorders, and its development has been studied extensively to better understand the underlying causes of these issues.
