Sports Psychology

Sports psychology is the study of the psychological factors that affect and are affected by participation and performance in sport, physical activity, and exercise. It incorporates the use of psychological principles to maximize performance and enjoyment in sport, physical activity, and exercise. It helps athletes to improve their performance and emotional well-being, as well as enhancing their enjoyment of the activity. For coaches, it enables them to understand their athletes better and establish a more effective coaching style. Furthermore, it allows for the assessment, improvement and maintenance of athletes’ mental and emotional health.
