Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental health disorder marked by disturbances in thinking, emotion, and behavior. It is characterized by delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized thinking. Symptoms usually start in late adolescence or early adulthood and can include social withdrawal, difficulty concentrating or staying focused, and disturbances in speaking or communicating. Schizophrenia can have a profound effect on one's ability to function in daily life and can have wide-ranging impacts on all aspects of a person's life. The disorder has no known cure, but treatment can help manage symptoms, improve quality of life, and provide support. Treatment typically includes antipsychotic medications, psychotherapy, and support groups. Early detection and intervention are key to managing schizophrenia and helping the individual lead a healthy and productive life.
