Development Personality development is the process of refining the characteristics of an individual in order to enhance that person's confidence, self-awareness and effectiveness in their daily life. It involves understanding oneself, developing positive traits, and setting and achieving goals. Personality development has been found to be associated with improved communication, better decision making, increased self-esteem and higher levels of job satisfaction. It has also been associated with improved overall health and well-being. Personality development involves various techniques such as goal setting, positive thinking, self-assessment, and time management. Effective personality development involves learning to understand oneself, developing positive traits, and setting and achieving goals that are important to one's overall goals in life.
