Neuropsychology
Neuropsychology is a field of study that focuses on understanding the link between the human brain and behaviour. It combines neuroscience and psychology to study how the structure and function of the brain influence cognitive processes such as cognitive control, attention, language, memory, emotion, perception, and social behavior. Neuropsychology is a valuable tool for diagnosing and treating neurological conditions, including dementia, traumatic brain injuries, and stroke. It can also be used to develop interventions to aid individuals in recovery, improve mental well-being, and discover areas of potential improvement in cognitive and motor development. Neuropsychology is essential for understanding how psychological disorders and trauma can affect the brain and behavior, and in turn, how to best assess and treat disorders and help people to lead fulfilling lives.
