Developmental Psychology
Developmental psychology is the scientific study of changes in behavior, cognition, and emotion that occur throughout the lifespan. It focuses on how individuals grow, develop, interact with others, and adjust to their environment, both in the present and throughout their life. It is important to understand these processes in order to better understand the development of physical, mental, and social well-being. Developmental psychology is used to inform and improve interventions and treatments related to mental health, education, social welfare, and family life. Additionally, understanding the development of individuals throughout their life can help inform public policy, health care, and other social services.
