Chlorpromazine
Chlorpromazine is an antipsychotic drug first developed in the 1950s. It is used in the treatment of mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and behavior problems. By blocking certain receptor sites in the brain, it works to reduce psychosis, decrease hallucinations and reduce the symptoms of mood disorders. Chlorpromazine can help reduce agitation, anxiety, and insomnia, while also reducing some of the unpleasant side effects of other mental health medications. It is an important medication in the treatment of serious mental health disorders, and its effectiveness can have a lasting impact on the lives of those living with mental health issues.
