Flutamide

Flutamide is a drug used to treat prostate cancer in men. It is a synthetic anti-androgen drug, meaning it blocks the hormone receptors responsible for stimulating the growth and spread of prostate cancer cells. When administered in combination with surgery and/or radiotherapy, it has been found to be an effective treatment for prostate cancer. It is also sometimes prescribed to treat hirsutism, which is excessive hair growth in women. The side effects of this drug range from mild to severe, and it is important to talk to a doctor before taking it.
