Cabazitaxel
Cabazitaxel is a chemotherapy drug used to treat prostate cancer. It is an important part of the treatment regimen for metastatic prostate cancer and works by stopping cancer cells from dividing and reproducing. Cabazitaxel is administered as an intravenous infusion, usually every three weeks. Common side effects include bone marrow suppression, low white blood cells, low platelet counts, nausea, vomiting, hair loss, and peripheral neuropathy. Cabazitaxel can be a beneficial treatment for metastatic prostate cancer, prolonging survival and improving the quality of life for patients.
