Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that aims to help patients regain movement and function, improve quality of life and reduce pain through the use of physical exercises and manual therapy. Physiotherapists are skilled professionals that use a variety of treatments, such as exercises, massage, education and advice, to rehabilitate people suffering from a variety of injuries, including sports, traumatic and postural injuries, as well as those with chronic conditions such as arthritis and stroke. Physiotherapy can also be used to prevent injury and improve athletes’ performance. Physiotherapists play a crucial role in restoring and maintaining physical health and promoting physical activity, independence and wellbeing.
